17 June 2010 - ELCON takes part at the SächsTel session in DresdenOn June 17 the Hilton hotel in Dresden will host the 2010 SächsTel symposium about „Trends of modern telecommunication systems“. At this event ELCON will give a lecture themed „2012 – Erleuchtung der Netze“ and present the latest solutions with optical fiber technologies.
In addition to that, ELCON will showcase on its booth customer-specific fiber CPEs with different interface options (WLAN, DECT, ISDN, CATV), as well as its unique Fiber to the Anywhere solution. 10 June 2010 - First regional project day focusing ELCONnect coaxOn Thursday, 10 June 2010, ELCON will organize at its Hartmannsdorf headquarters the first regional project day for companies from Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. 8 - 9 June 2010 - ELCON presents lots of product highlights in the field FTTH and Fiber To Coax at the FTTx & Next Generation Access SummitELCON will again be among the exhibitors at the FTTx & Next Generation Access Summit, which will take place in the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London on 8 and 9 June 2010.
This year ELCON focuses on the topic „Fiber to the Anywhere“. No matter, whether the fiber cable has been deployed down to the subscriber´s home or ends away from its location, with ELCONnect® coax and ELCONnect® fiber ELCON offers outstanding and cost-efficient products both for FTTH and FTTC / FTTB applications. With the solution Fiber-to-Coax ELCON shows at the FTTx & Next Generation Access Summit a unique system for the network migration towards FTTx. 27 May 2010 - ELCON attends the CMG-AE session in ViennaOn 27 May ELCON will be represented at the 2010 spring session of the CMG-AE (Computer Measurement Group Austria and Eastern Europe), which will discuss the topic „FTTH/FTTB – State of the Art, Innovative Technologies“. To present its latest FTTx-solutions, ELCON will give a speech titled „Open Access through FTTB-Rollout, using the practical example of a German network operator”. Both for political and economical reasons, this network operator had decided to establish an FTTB-network on basis of deployed network structures. ELCON – the leading supplier of optimized network access systems for telecommunication and cable network operators – realized this project. The lecture informs about the specific requirements and illustrates how this project was stepwise implemented.

4 - 6 May 2010 - ELCON presents its FTTx-system for cable TV networks with upgraded 3G performance and FTTH-CPEs at the ANGA CableFollowed by its market launch in 2006 and several national and international network deployments, this year ELCON will showcase at the ANGA Cable in Cologne (4 – 6 May 2010) its ELCONnect coax - FTTx-system with new 3G performance and new improved functionality.
„Fiber to the Anywhere” is no more a dream, but has long become reality. Starting from the intelligent approach „Fiber-to-Coax“, and thanks to an unmatched flexibility with regard to its upgradeability, ELCON offers a very cost-efficient upgrade at network layer three and four, which can be easily integrated in any existent cable TV network. Hereby the ELCONnect coax FOCX32 represents the link between the incoming fiber cable and the inhouse cable TV structure. It is the core element of the system and allows for a seamless migration towards FTTx. If the incoming signals are sent via copper cable, ELCON uses the Master32, from which the IP-signal is distributed in all rooms.

Even legacy coax-based distribution infrastructures can be easily converted into megabit data pipelines (“Fiber to Coax”), which dramatically cuts costs, hassle and complexity of fiber rollouts – which means a faster return on investment. 20 - 21 April 2010 - Technical Workshop ELCONnect coaxFrom April 20th to 21st, 2010 ELCON Systemtechnik organised the technical workshop „Alternative Broadband (ELCONnect coax) - Low radiation – Safe – Guest-friendly“ for national and international system partners.
During the two days workshop representatives from more than a dozen system partners from Germany and international markets participated. The first day was mainly focusing on keynotes, case studies and exchange of experience gained from already realised ELCONnect coax projects. The subsequent discussion was a perfect opportunity for the participants to share their views and to benefit from each other when seeking ways on how to market the product and realize projects.
The second day targeted practical and hands on education and experience with and on the system.

In the field of FTTH applications, ELCON will display its wide range of Customer Premises Equipment, with interfaces for WLAN, POTS, ISDN, DECT and CATV in almost any combination. 11 September 2009 - Review: Successful participation in the 2009 Broadband World Forum EuropeShowcasing its innovative solutions for any transmission medium, ELCON has used the 2009 Broadband World Forum Europe (7th-9th of September, Paris) as the perfect platform to persuade representatives of numerous national and international network operators. Special interest was paid in the easy-to-install FTTH products, which have been offered in a wide range of customized versions. Cost-efficient product solutions allowing for substantial energy reduction were also well-accepted by booth visitors. For FTTH applications, ELCON will demonstrate its multifaceted CPEs, with interfaces for WLAN, POTS, ISDN, DECT and CATV in any combination. All products provide carrier-class Ethernet switching and Layer3-functionality and meet the demands of today´s customers for high-quality products providing TriplePlay services.
In addition, ELCON shows its unique Broadband access system for cable-TV networks, where the transmission of voice, data and images is realized over deployed television cables, enabling a smooth migration towards FTTx.
In the range of Business Access ELCON showcases products to realise Next Generation IP Business Services.
Focus is also put on the provision of broadband connections in remote areas: For this purpose ELCON offers the ELCONnect next EFM system, which is able to cover distances of min. 10 km at data rates of 45 Mbps, using latest Ethernet-First-Mile technology along with remote-fed and power-saving repeaters.

14 August 2009 - DSD Environmental Track Record 2008 – Resource Protection By RecyclingWith its engagement in Germany´s Dual System (DSD – „The Green Dot“) ELCON for many years has been striving to reduce the use of primary resources and energy for the production of new goods, thus having relevant share in protecting our environment.
The annual DSD environmental track record has been compiled in compliance with the requirements for eco-friendly performance as per ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
Take-back and reuse of ELCON sales packages under DSD license allowed in 2008 for emission reductions totalling to 6,098 kg carbon dioxide equivalents. This amount can be compared with the CO2 emissions from 3 compact-class cars with an average annual mileage of 15,000 kilometres each. Again ELCON has made a sustainable contribution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. | |

26 - 28 May 2009 - ELCON showcases its FTTH CPE portfolio and its latest FTTx migration system for cable TV networks at ANGA Cable 2009From May 26th to 28th, 2009 ELCON will show its extensive FTTH customer premises equipment (CPE) portfolio during this year’s ANGA Cable show in Cologne, Germany. In addition to the Fast Ethernet FOS100 family, this is already under deployment, ELCON will show also the recently launched Gigabit FOS1000 products including WLAN, POTS and ISDN interface. All products are available with High performance Ethernet switching and layer three routing functionality to support today’s triple play requirements for high end service roll out.
Additionally ELCON will demonstrate its unique broadband access system for cable TV networks enabling voice, data and video service over existing infrastructure and a real seamless migration towards FTTx for cable TV networks. 23 January 2009 – ELCON leaves notable footprint at the HOGA 2009 with its ELCONnect coax systemHotel manager, guesthouse owner or system integrator – whoever paid a visit to ELCONs booth at this year´s HOGA exhibition (18 – 21 January in Nuremberg, Germany) – the ELCONnect coax equipment attracted great interest among visitors.
