Business Access – Carrier Ethernet Services For Everyone

Today, a reliable and highly available infrastructure in carrier-class and metro access networks is an indispensable prerequisite for Ethernet services delivery in business applications. It is the cornerstone to meet the continuously growing requirements of challenging business customers in terms of ubiquitous availability and reliable service provisioning based on Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Addressing this clientele, ELCON offers a complete set of tailor-made solutions that allows network operators to provide their business customers with highly available and reliable voice and data services at attractive conditions. With the unique ELCONnect^® next EFS40, ELCON has developed an intelligent adaptive system allowing the delivery of Ethernet services over copper, which is equally well suited for Carrier Ethernet DSLAM links and the connection of subscribers.
The product portfolio of the ELCONnect^® next EFM system hereby ranges from EFM CPEs with simple Ethernet Bridge over high-end business IADs with integrated interfaces for VoIP telephony up to the DSLAM allowing for the aggregation of max. 544 e.SHDS lines.
ELCON´s EFM-system is fully compliant with the Carrier Ethernet standard as specified by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and supports e.SHDSL-connections at flexible data rates from 192 kbps to 5.7 Mbps per wire pair. On client side, up to four 10/100 Base-T-Ethernet interfaces are available, whereas High-End Business IADs, in addition, have integrated voice ports for LAN extension. With the specific AnyPort^TM Bonding up to 8 e.SHDSL connections at 5.7 Mbps each can be logically linked to provide a symmetrical bandwidth of max. 45 Mbps. When using optional remote power supply modules and repeaters, it is possible to bridge a 10 km distance at a data rate of 45 Mbps.
To meet business customers´ demands for QoS, all client-side equipment of the ELCONnect^® EFM-system additionally comes with integrated remote management functions which enable auto-configuration and permanent status monitoring of both device platforms and transmission loops.
